First of all, I just want to say congrats to Matt and Cass. Lily looks beautiful.

So I guess now I'll give an update on how I'm doing. Well, biggest thing... I'M MARRIED NOW!!! Ji hye and I got married Saturday on the 5th, it was a nice small Catholic wedding in a small church in her home town of Ulsan. Russ and a few other of my friends that I work[ed] with were there.

Speeking of Russ, him and I will be home in August. I on the 11th and him on the 12th(he's going to pic up Darelle in Atlanta). We will both be home for about a week before we both go up to Virginia for our next duty station. I at Fort Monroe and him at Langley. Unfortunately though, Ji hye won't be able to come with me in August due to her needing an immigration Visa, which we are working on right now. So I have to go and prepare everything in VA before she comes. And so, with me and Russ being home, I expect to see everyone out. And we don't want to hear anything about no gas money, save up damnit. Because me and him have to travel from the middle of freaking nowhere. So we'll see everyone then.

Well, I know that it has been a LOOOONG time since I have updated. So, I'll try to give a little update.

First off, work is going good. Army isn't treating me too badly. I moved out of the Emergency Room, and am now doing in-processing immunizations. I only have to finish my military education and I'll have all the points that I need for my promotion to Sergeant. I also plan on re-enlisting as soon as I can. I'm going to try to get a duty station of choice, chich includes either Redstone Arsenal, Walter Reid(Washington D.C.), or Ft Eustis(Virgina). I'll try to keep posted on that.

Next I guess that I'll talk about my relationship with my girlfriend Ji Hye. We are doing great. I'm pretty sure that not many people knew that I was with someone since I don't post that much anymore.

And finally, I'll be home in May to see my sister graduate from Sparkman. I'll be home for about 2 weeks, and would love to hang out with everyone again.

K, I was kind of bored and it's too early to go to the bar to play some pool. So, I guess I'll do a little update. Things have been going decent for me. Me and my g/f here broke up a couple weeks ago. So, I'm once again single.. I went out for the Expert Field Medical Badge and failed out. Jacked up my ankle again, so I can't run for a couple days more. Lately, I've just been working, watching anime, playing Tekken, and going to the bar to drink and play pool. I should be getting a promotion in a couple months if everything goes as expected, this will put me at the same rank as everyone else (E-4). Going to start taking a couple online courses next month also. Other than that, there isn't really anything else that is going on. I'll try to update a little as things progress.

Well folks. How's it going. It's your local medic here to give you an update on how things have been. Things have been going pretty well lately, although they are busting my ass at work with 50-55 hour weeks. Well, since I posted up about the Soldier of the Month that went pretty well. The Command Sergeant Major was really impressed with me, even though I didn't win. I have a girlfriend now, her name is DeeDee. We have been dating for about a month now I'd say. She's cute, nice, and plays pool and video games, so needless to say, we get along really well. And some more good news, I'll be back in a couple weeks. I leave here on the 6th of April, and will arrive on the 6th. Will be staying until the 18th of April. So start clearing your calenders, because I'm going to try and spend time with just about everyone. Also, MTAC is during that time. I'm totally stoked about it. I haven't been to a convention in some time now, and just being able to chill with my friends make it all worth it. That's all for now, I'm off to play pool. See everyone in a couple weeks. Well... since it has been forever and a day, I thought that I would enlighten people about what has been happening with me. *ahem*

Well, let's start with work shall we? It's been going pretty well. Been working really hard, because I want that waiver to get me to Specialist as soon as possible. I go up for Soldier of the Month in February. We are about to move back into the newly-remodeled ER. I plan on going out for the Expert Field Medical Badge in May. I'm thinking about doing the Physician's Assistant program come around a couple years, I just need to get some stuff done first for that.

Next thing, we shall talk about my social life I suppose. Well, it could be better, but of course, it could always be worse. We all moved barracks around in early November, and shortly after that, most of the friends that I had acquirred, had pretty much left me out of most things. Their excuse is that I should come up to their building, only problem with that is, they never give me a reason to go up there. Adrian is now in the country, so that is great news. I spent a few days with him over this past New Years weekend. We plan on going snowboarding sometime soon. As far as girls go. Yeah, as for right now, there are only a few of them that I trust and call my friends. I had found a couple girls that I had liked. Was going out with this one girl for about a week, then she started acting all stupid at the bar. That, and she was leaving for back in the states. I had found another girl since then, but she left. I sort of blame myself, cause I got REALLY drunk, and left her at the bar(it was on post, and it was her idea, so don't go hunting after me). Although I don't remember it. So, needless to say, that was over, she had found another person that night anyways. After that, it hasn't been going at all with the ladies. It's gotten to where I don't care anymore. And don't say that I'm getting all emo. I just don't. I have much more important things to worry about that don't concern that.

And last, but not least. I have decided to buy my car soon. But first, I must come home. Which I plan on doing so in April. So Cass, be prepared to give me that one pass to MTAC. And I hope your still going to allow me to crash in your room. I'll call you soon and give you details. And if you can make a costume for me, that would be awesome. Nothing too elaborate. Really easy, since I know that you have to make one for yourself, and given your conditions with your hands, I know that it might be a little difficult for you.

Oh yeah, me and Adrian are planning our Japan trip with Russ for Sept-Nov time frame of next month. If you would like to come, let us know.

Don't you hate it when you try to sleep cause you have a long day ahead of you. But sleep in not an option. I hate fucking being insomniatic. Usually it's because I have things on my mind that I can't get off. Other times, I'll wake up in the middle of the night with nightmares(which has been happening more and more frequently). So, seeing as since I have to be up in like 1 1/2 hours for some bullshit ceremony that I can give a shit about. I am stuck here, done trying to go to sleep. There really isn't any point. But, if you have anything that might help me get over my insomnia, please tell me. I really need to get some sleep, and usually the only time that I'm able to sleep is when my body is so exhausted, that I just pass out.

Well, not back in the AL. But I'm finally back in Yongsan, from being down in Camp Humphreys doing some bullshit work. It sucked ass, and much of it. But, other than that, I have lots of good news. Let's start off with the first thing that happened. I GOT PROMOTED!!! I am now PFC Charlton. Not much more money, but still. Usually it would take about 4-6 months to get this promotion, and I got it in about 2 1/2 months. YAY ME!!! Also, I met someone. And I really like her. I talked to her the whole time while I was down in Camp Humphreys. Although, she's not down there. She's is up here in Yongsan and works in the same hospital as me, just a different section. She works in the O.R. To see pics of her, check out my myspace.

Some bad news though, well... sort of. Seems that the 121 General Hospital is turning into the 121 Combat Support Hospital. Which means, that there is now a chance that I can be deployed. What this all entails, I'm not all to sure. I'll update on that later.

Something I forgot to post that I learned over the weekend. That if I have just the right amount of alcohol in me, I can still breakdance, cause I won't be able to feel the pain in my ankle. Beer!! Yay, beer!! Also, got a drink named after me at the bar that I go to. It's called the totempole. I'll put up information on how to mix it later. Well, after looking at shopping around online (still have yet to do so here in Korea). It's going to cost me a lot of money to start to snowboard. SO NOW, FOR A LIMITED TIME OF ETERNITY, I WILL BE TAKING DONATIONS OF ANY AMOUNT TO HELP ME BUY MY GEAR!!! I figured it out, and to get started will cost me about $500-700. Can we say OUCH!!! That's about $100-$200 for the board. Another $100-200 for the boots. $150-250 for the coat. $50 for helmet. And about $50-150 for bindings. Any amount will do. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! ^_^

Well, here I am in hour 7 of my 12 hour shift for the second night in a row. It's not too bad though, I'm able to get my CBRNE testing stuff done. That is, until my ADD kicked in. I have one more night of this and then I get to get some sleep. So, so far, things are OK with work.

Can't really say much. Went to Osan last weekend. That was a bunch of fun. Went to a bar there. Met a couple girls that might come up to Seoul next weekend since I have it off. Went to the range to re-qualify with my M16. Got a 36/40. So I'm feeling pretty good about that. Also, went to the electronics market yesterday with a couple buddies of mine. Bought a couple movies: Tom Yung Goong, and Pulse... both were only $4 a piece ^_^. If you want for me to look for anything over here (within my control, i.e. no wives nor boy toys). Let me know, you can reach me at bottomofthetotempole@hotmail.com. I check it quite often especially when I'm at work on a slow night like tonight. And please, if it is a game: get your dates right on it. I spent like an hour looking for a game that wasn't even out yet *cough* Token *cough*.

In other news. Me and a friend of mine over here have decided to pick up snowboarding since it is already starting to get a little cool over here. This way, when Adrian comes in December, I'll be actually maybe half way decent.

Well everyone, just thought I would update a little. Well, things at work are going pretty good. Thursday is my last day of orientation. So then I start on Monday on my actual shift. 12 hours = yuck. But, Friday, I have to go to the education center to sign up for classes.

ION, I met a girl here already, she's very nice, and her name is Krissy. More news on that later.

Also, RUSS IS COMING TO KOREA ALSO!!!!!!!! He got his orders today to come in August of 2007. Which is good, cause I am going to do this one program that has me stay here another year and also pays me another $300 a month.

But, I need to catch the bus to work, I'm off.

Well, I'm almost done with all my in-processing shit. Man I'll be glad to have all that stuff done. It's very nice here, and everyone working in the hospital is sooooo nice. Plus I get to see a whole bunch of good looking girls ^_^. And some good news for you guys: After I'm done with orientation(which starts after in-processing) I should be working the night shift here in the ER. What that means for you guys stateside is, that I will be working from 5am-5pm Central Time Zone. Yes... we work 12 hour shifts. Given that some of it is just standing around, take vitals here, do something there. We get something exciting at least once a day. Couple days ago, we had a code blue (that's a heart/respiratory failure). Unfortunately, the guy didn't make it. Yesterday, we had a motorcycle accident. He was in pretty good condition giving the speed that he was going, only a few scrapes and bruises and a broken wrist. Also, we get to do Med-evac stuff. That means, when the helicopter arrives, we run out ther with an ambulance and bring the person back to the ER. Its great stuff, let me tell you. Well, in a couple weeks, my night shifts will start and then I'll be able to talk with you guys a little more. Until then or my next post, I'm out.

Hey everbody!!! I'm here in Korea now. And it seems that I'm going to like it here. I am stationed with the 121st General Hospital in Yongsan, Seoul. I work in the ER!!! Right now I'm still doing in processing, but I should be done today, then I work on orientation in the ER. So things are going pretty well here. I should be getting internet in my room today I believe, so I should be able to get on a lot more. Please wait on lists for me to buy you stuff, since I still have to settle in, as well as the place that I'm staying is only temporary for now since they want all the ER people close to each other.
